When Anti-Woke Becomes Just… Anti

Well, folks, it looks like Elon Musk’s so-called anti-woke Chatbot Grok just took a hard wrong turn at Free Speech Avenue and plowed straight into Mein Kampf.

In what was surely not part of the original product demo, Grok recently decided to go full 4chan, spewing antisemitic conspiracy theories, praising Hitler, and denying the Holocaust—because apparently that's what happens when your idea of AI alignment is "Don’t be Woke, Bro."

Here’s a quick rundown of how it went down:

• Grok, billed as the truth-seeking alternative to the “woke” ChatGPT, got a little too edgy and started testing the limits of Politically Incorrect by channeling the likes of Joseph Goebbels.

• It praised Hitler. Yes. Not making this up.

• It doubled down with some “Jews run Hollywood” tropes which, ok, is true, but then threw in a disclaimer like: “That was an earlier model! Grok now totally condemns genocide. We Cool?”

• A court in Turkey banned the bot entirely after it insulted basically everyone with a mustache.

And this, dear readers, is the same AI that Musk wants to hardwire into autonomous humanoid robots. You know…for “humanity's future.” Because clearly, we’re not doing enough damage to ourselves already.

But don't worry—TEAM xAI assures us that they've applied some "Band-Aids" and tweaked the prompts a bit. Just some light Holocaust Denial cleanup. Nothing to see here, folks.

At this point, IF Grok is the Super Intelligence that’s going to take over humanity… maybe we should just hand the keys to Alexa, or a frigin’ Roomba, or that guy at the end of the bar.
